What this covers
FMC records commitments and the proof that they were kept. This explains what we hold about you, why, how long, and who else sees it.
It is written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to support@f6mc.com and ask.
What we collect
When you create an account:
- Your name, as you want it shown.
- Your email address.
- Your password, stored only as a hash. We cannot read it.
- Your date of birth. We check it once, to confirm you are 18 or older. It is shown to nobody — not to challenge creators, not to workspaces, not on your Record — and it is used for nothing else.
When you record proof:
- The photograph, taken live in the app. The camera is the only source; your photo library is never read.
- The time it was taken, and the time your device reported.
- The task it answers, and any note you attach.
- Technical facts about the image: its size, dimensions and a fingerprint used to detect the same photograph being submitted twice.
While you use FMC:
- Your session, so you stay signed in, and the device description shown on your own sessions screen.
- Which challenges and workspaces you belong to, and what your Record says.
We do not collect a phone number. We do not ask for your location, your contacts, or your microphone. Your timezone is derived from your device rather than asked for.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data. Not to anybody, for any price.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites. There is no advertising SDK in FMC and no cross-app analytics, which is why the app never asks for tracking permission — there is nothing to ask about.
- We do not use your proof photographs to advertise to you.
Who else sees it
- Your challenge creator sees the proof you submit to their challenge, and your standing in it. That is what a challenge is.
- Your workspace, if you joined one through an employer, sees the work you record there. Your personal challenges are never visible to it.
- Other members see only what your audience setting allows. Proofs are private by default.
- Our hosting provider stores the database and the photographs on our behalf, in order to run the service.
- Our email provider sends the messages you receive from us — verification, password resets, and notices about your account.
Nobody sees a proof photograph without being signed in, whatever its audience setting.
Automated review
FMC does not currently send anything to a third-party AI service.
When it does, you will be asked first, on a screen that names the provider and lists exactly what would be sent. You will be able to refuse, and refusing will leave the app fully usable. You will be able to change your mind afterwards in Settings. Nothing is sent before you say yes.
How long we keep it
- Your account and Record stay for as long as your account exists.
- Proof photographs on a free account are kept for 90 days after the cycle they belong to closes. The thumbnail, the timestamp and the verdict stay — your Record does not change — but the full photograph goes.
- A deleted challenge and everything in it is removed 30 days after its owner deletes it. Before then, the owner can restore it.
- A deleted account stops working the moment you ask. Everything above is permanently deleted 14 days later, and you can cancel until then with the link we email you.
- Work you recorded for an employer stays with that workspace, tied to a former member rather than to you, until their own retention period ends. It is their record of work that was done.
Your choices
- See it. Everything about you is on your profile and your Record.
- Export it. Settings gives you a copy of your data.
- Delete it. Settings deletes your account. See the terms for what that removes and what stays.
- Correct it. Change your name in Settings. For anything you cannot change yourself, write to us.
Children
FMC is for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. We ask for a date of birth at signup and refuse to create an account below that age.
Changes
When this document changes in a way that matters, you will be asked to read and accept it before carrying on. Older versions are superseded on the date shown at the top of this page.
